The weather is finally changing around Boston. If you were anywhere near the Northeast this winter, you know that this weather has been long overdue. We spent days and weeks moving snow and battling cold temperatures. Though the winter was hard on us, winter was also a busy time since it was the period where we were getting ready to launch our first matcha.

We spent the winter sampling the best matcha teas from Japan and seeking a small growing farm to partner with. It was a blast and we were so excited to find a quality product to share on the marketplace!
The winter was also a time to enjoy hot beverages, both teas and liquors! Now that we are getting the summer breeze coming through, we are thinking about cold beverages to enjoy! If you haven’t tried matcha as a cold stand alone drink, now is the time. I’ve been scouring Pinterest for some new twists on this favorite drink. Here is the cold matcha drink roundup!
Matcha Green Tea Mint Lemonade
Wow! What a fun twist on a refreshing favorite. We made this with our own ceremonial matcha. We skipped the Vega supplement.
Matcha Green Tea Shake
A fun summer alternative to an ice cream shake. We made ours with vanilla almond milk. Yum!
Orange Matcha Iced Tea
A mix of familiar and new! We liked that this recipe put a new spin on our favorite kind of iced tea. We used ¼ cup of Whole Foods organic orange juice that we had on hand.
Matcha Green Tea Latte
A family favorite! We’ve used this recipe a few times with coconut butter and raw sugar as our choices. You’ll never swing into Starbucks for theirs again after this!
Matcha Mint Iced Tea
We will be drinking this one on the boat all summer long! We use our ceremonial grade for this recipe (and any drinks really) vs. the suggested cooking grade.
Matcha and Pineapple Smoothie
This smoothie is a great way to start the day. We love the mix of pineapple, kale, and matcha. We used both iced and banana to make it a bit thicker. Delicious!
Original Matcha Smoothie
We like this more traditional matcha smoothie. We used regular watermelon and vanilla almond milk in place of soy milk. Gives a great energy boost for the start of the day!
Matcha, Pomegranate and Blueberry Slushie
Talk about a fancy little drink! We used honey in ours.
Matcha, Mango, and Ginger Smoothie
This one reminds me of one of the smoothies from the bar at Whole Foods. They use blueberry in place of mango, which I think would work here too!
Matcha Detox Smoothie
Summer BBQ nights adding a few inches to your waistline? Try this smoothie. We added 2 tsp. of matcha to this recipe.
Thank you, we hope you enjoyed the article.
